Simone's obsession with the delightfully macabre, the sickeningly quaint, and the fantastically monstrous has always been by her side since she was a young child.  This made for a very strange little girl who would weigh both the experience of poking at pig guts in a flowery dress and carefully braiding her Barbie's hair whilst covered in mud and chicken poop equally.

Based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Simone specialises in polymer clay, resin, and mixed media sculpture. You can find her creations for sale at The Local in the Parap, NT or at the various seasonal markets around Darwin, NT.

Simone has a background in Graphic Design and Production Design for live events and film. Studying in both the Northern Territory and South Australia, Simone currently holds a Batchelor of Media Arts, an Advanced Diploma of Design for Productions and Live Events, and a Certificate IV in Graphic Design.

Alongside over 12 years working in the Printing and Graphic Arts Industry, Simone has also managed several local art galleries in Darwin, NT and has led and supported Art Departments on various film projects and events Australia wide.

Inspired by contradictions and contrasts, Simone’s work explores the beauty that can be found in the macabre and the darkness that can underlie the quaint - all whilst injecting a healthy dose of humour.

Simone currently lives and works in Darwin, Northern Territory.
